She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Herzik and Helen Dusek Herzik; her husband Joe L. Cerny; and her siblings, Ivan Herzik, Ervin Herzik, Joe Herzik, Jr., Helen Bowen, Lorraine Popp, Delores Svatek and Dorothy Herzik.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Hickl (Ronald), Patrick Cerny (Shelly), Kenneth W. Cerny (Mary Ann) and Glen Cerny (Yvonne); her grandchildren, Jody, Cindy Hickl, Ryan, Leslie Hickl, Kimberly, Lloyd Williams, Kristen, Jason Brown, Brittany, Dustin Tarver, Trey, Amy Cerny, Cory Cerny, Craig Cerny, Colby Cerny, Kassie Cerny, Aaron, Kayla and Brad Lezak; and her close friend Frank Jalufka. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Triska Funeral Home (612 Merchant St, El Campo, TX 77437). A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the St. Philip Catholic Church (304 W Church St, El Campo, TX 77437). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at the Holy Cross Memorial Park (1617 S Mechanic St, El Campo, TX 77437).
