Gilbert Vallejo Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gilbert Vallejo of El Campo, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Sr. Vallejo and Isabel Rodriguez Vallejo; his wife Carmela Meany Vallejo; and his siblings, Elisa Fortinilli, Minerva Carter, Carlos and Ricardo Vallejo.
He is survived by: his children, Rodolfo Rivera of Guatemala, Monika Wizel of Guatemala, Brenda Cabrera of El Salvador and Luisa Maria Arriaga of Guatemala; and his siblings, Edward Vallejo, Jr. of El Campo, Alfred Vallejo of Austin, Emilio Vallejo of Victoria, Mary Arredondo of El Campo and Lena Escobar of El Campo.
A rosary will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Robert's Catholic Church (512 Tegner St, El Campo, TX 77437). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at the Holy Cross Memorial Park (1617 S Mechanic St, El Campo, TX 77437).
Donations in memory of Gilbert Vallejo may be made to Houston Hospice-El Campo.
