He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Zernicek and Irene Archer Zernicek; and his siblings, Emil Zernicek Jr. and Priscilla Norman. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Adamik Zernicek of El Campo; his children, Jeff Zernicek (Geneva) of Brenham, Dale Zernicek of Beaumont and Kim Henke (Robert) of Hallettsville; his grandchildren, Brandon Zernicek of El Campo, Macy and Melea Henke of Hallettsville; his stepgranddaughter Caitlin Lindsey of Brenham; his stepmother Dolores Drozd of Bay City; his siblings, Janice Trochta (Michael) of Bay City, Steven and Mark Zernicek of Bay City; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Garcia (Chris) of Louise and David Adamik of Houston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in memory of George may be made to St. John's Catholic Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Harbor Hospice of Victoria.
