He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fred and Helena Hansen Newton; his siblings, Ellis Newton and Ida Mae Bloom; and his grandson Luke Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Newton; his daughters, Helen Johnson (Warren) of El Campo and Gail Silliman (Bill) of Ganado; his grandchildren, Robert Schneider (Isela) of La Porte, Karla Johnson of East Peoria and Case Silliman (Rachel) of Ganado; his great grandchildren, Avery, Carter and Landry Schneider; and his brothers, Wade Newton and Odis Newton of El Campo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Forrest may be made to First Lutheran Church.
