He was predeceased by: his father Nicholas Cisneros Benavidez; his wife Irene Yanes Benavidez; and his siblings, Salvador, Joaquin, Frank, Nicholas, Mike, Roy, Roger, Eva Campos, Helen Vallejo and Mary Martinez.
He is survived by: his children, Eugene Benavidez, Jr., Theresa Benavidez, Diane Benavidez, Lydia Gorczyca (Joe Gorczyca), Catherine Benavidez-Anderson (James Anderson), Gloria Rodriguez (Albert Rodriguez), David Benavidez (Monica Benavidez) and Anna Wheeler (Jim Wheeler). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Robert's Catholic Church.
