He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Hyer and Vivian Wilson Hyer; and his wife Dellinda Meek Hyer. He is survived by: his daughters, Mara Kemp (Troy) of Katy, Dezda Yohana (Jay) of Hot Springs and Salinda Hyer of El Campo; his grandchildren, Allyssa Yohana (Colin Majoney), Jonah Yohana, Zohe Howard (Nathaniel), Reece Kemp, Vivian Wenglar, Kaleb Yohana, Kyle Kemp and Aaron Yohana; his great grandchildren, Magnolia and Danika Howard; his brother Gary Hyer of Brazoria; and his nieces, Paige and Caitlyn.
