He was predeceased by: his parents, Enrique Garcia and Concepcion Garcia; his former wife Tomasita Silva Garcia; his granddaughter Shaneeka Wilkerson; his daughter-in-law Teresa Garcia; and his siblings, Margarita Garcia, Guadalupe and Antonio Garcia.
He is survived by: his wife Tomasa; his children, Elida "Ellie" Garcia of El Campo, Lina Garcia of Houston, Raquel Garcia of El Campo, Alicia Garcia (Albert Finlay) of Stafford, Angela Garcia Terrell (Alfred) of El Campo, Raul Garcia (Diane) of El Campo and Enrique Garcia III of El Campo; and his sister Maria Madera of La Feria. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
