He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Carl and Alwine Dora Zieschang Richter; his former wife Martha Lee Ebner; his brother Melvin Ray Richter; his stepson-in-law Karl Houston; and his stepgrandson Arthur Castle.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette; his children, Gary Richter (Christine), Cynthia Richter and Donna Janik (Larry); his grandchildren, Liz Janik Conrad (Jason), Jason Janik (Kristin) and Kimber Janik Kelley (Seth); his great grandchildren, Cameron, Carter Conrad, Hunter, Avary Janik, Payton, Addison and Kenzlee Kelley; his stepgranddaughter Marissa McCoy; his son Luke Gibbs; and his great grandchildren, Dianna, Dustin Castle, John Castle, Cora Castle, Paul Houston, Alice Houston Mayfield and Philip Houston.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Triska Funeral Home (612 Merchant St, El Campo, TX 77437). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (1401 Ave I, El Campo, TX 77437).
Memorials can be given to Christ Lutheran Church in El Campo.
