He is survived by: his children, Derrick Swiler (Hannah) of Hockley, Rebecca Manning (Michael) of Buna, TX and Sara Gonzales of Nacogdoches; his siblings, Maria Lopez, Betty Cordoba (Robert), Belinda Gonzales of Joe Charles, Shirley Arriaga (Amadeo), Rachel Reyna (Frank) and Joseph Gonzales (Stephanie); and his brother-in-law Louis Marshall.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wharton Funeral Home (515 E Boling Hwy, Wharton, TX 77488). A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (506 S East Ave, Wharton, TX 77488).
