He is survived by: his wife Olivia Bluntzer McDonald; his children, Katherine M. Jew (Andrew), Mary E. McDonald, Donald McDonald, Jr. and Robert M. McDonald (Gina); his grandsons, Michael A. Jew, Nicholas A. Jew, Douglas M. McDonald, Gregory P. McDonald and Timothy J. McDonald; his great grandchildren, Sadie E. Jew and Lily McDonald; his sister Gloria Petersen; and his sister-in-law Janette McDonald.
