He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Long and Mary Lucille Mitchell Long; his brother Robert Long; and his pet Baby. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Harton Long of El Campo; his daughters, Miranda Chavez (Pedro) of El Campo and Jessica Schilhab (Brad) of Victoria; his grandchildren, Preston, Brody, Katlynn Schilhab, Matthew and Delilah Chavez; his siblings, Kevin Kresta (Lori) of El Campo, Carl Long (Charlotte) of Wharton and Judy Foote (Dan) of Georgetown; his parents-in-law, Kermit and Esther Harton; and his pet Olivia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Memorial donations in memory of David may be made to the American Kidney Fund or Wharton County SPOT.
