He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lauritsen and Gertrude Peters Lauritsen; and his brothers, Donald and Larry Lauritsen. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Matak Lauritsen; his sons, Bradley Lauritsen (Kathryn) and Blake Lauritsen (Jessica); his grandchildren, Erin Lauritsen, Ella Lauritsen, Braxton Lauritsen, Zeke Doshier, Caroline Doshier, Brinley Lauritsen, Camille Lauritsen and Bryce Lauritsen; his sister Estelle Smith (Erling); and his grandsons, Melvin Matak, Dennis Matak and Tom Bodungen.

Memorial donations in memory of Bruce may be made to the American Heart Association.
