She is survived by: her children, Joyce Ashton, Erma Ashton, Larry Ashton and Paul Simmons (La Fredia); her siblings, Maggie Scott, Frankie Faniel, Delores Gibson, Erma Jones, Tommie Simmons and Victor Simmons; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ashton, Lance Griffin, Zion Simmons, Za'kiya Simmons and Ranisha Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Jorrey Ashton-Garcia and Na'Viana Johnson.
