He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Cerny and Frances Baklik Cerny; his son Gary Cerny; his granddaughter Brandy Cerny; his great grandchildren, Jaydin Thompson and Devian Bluntson; and his siblings, Alfonce Cerny, Anton Cerny, Lillian McKee, Ella Cervenka and Irene Lutringer.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Mikeska Cerny of El Campo; his children, Lloyd Cerny (Diane), Glenn Cerny (Brenda) and Cindy Mahalitc (Anthony); his daughter-in-law Dianne Shimek Cerny of El Campo; his grandchildren, Laura Dorotik (Trent), Kristi Walton (Kyle), Kara McClung (Michael), Garrett Cerny (Kim), Jody Cerny, Justin Mican, Troy Cerny, Tyson Brown (Beth), Amber Brown, Kyle Chandler (Corri), Cory Chandler (Hayley), Kaylee Koudela (Brian), Trey Mahalitc (Keri), Krissy Mahalitc, Richard Newman and Jarrod Mahalitc; and his sister Margie Kutach (Eugene). He is also survived by twenty three great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
