She was predeceased by: her husband W. H. Mercer, Sr.; her sisters, Bernice Terry and Erma Garrett; and her grandchildren, Richard Mercer and Rosalyn Kresta.
She is survived by: her sons, Sherrel Mercer (Cecelia) of Edna, John Mercer (Anne) of Edna, Marvin Mercer (Glenda) of Leander and Pat Mercer (Jacque) of Inez; and her grandchildren, Michael Mercer (Brooke), Nicole Mercer, Betsy Thompson (Jason), Laura Paulsel (Jason), Dale Mercer (Leea), Joanna Smith (Matt), Kimberly Mercer, Caren Akins (Matthew), Scott Mercer, LynAnne Walden (Bill), Sarah Bradley (Cody) and Patrick Mercer (Amber). She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
