He was predeceased by: his parents, Filiberto Suniga and Louisa Deleon Suniga; his wife Juana Suniga; his sisters, Alejandra Valenzuela, Margarita Guerra and Eva Tamez; and his grandsons, Robert Cruz Jr. Pallbearers, Daniel Suniga and Herman Gonzales.
He is survived by: his children, Victoria Cruz of Edna, Daniel Suniga of Menifee and Filiberto Suniga of Waco; his siblings, Carolina Gonzales of Temple, Blanca Gonzales of Westhoff, Herman Mejias of San Antonio and Cruz Suniga of Westhoff; and his grandchildren, Lucia Gloria, Safady, Mark Gloria, Mary Ann Gutierrez, Eric Cruz, James Cruz and Sammy Cruz. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and twenty one great-great- grandchildren.
