He is survived by: his wife Viola; his children, Lydia Contreras (Greg Contreras), Elizabeth Marie Guizar and John Mark Mendiola; his grandchildren, Johnathan Contreras, Megan Contreras and Andrea Contreras; and his great grandchildren, Andre Brady, Charli Contreras, Dalen Starks, O'Quinn Callis and Tyler Hall.
