He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis S. Tipton and Gertrude Lowery Tipton; his wife Nancy Tipton; his brother Edward Tipton; and his son-in-law Robert McKinney.
He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Ann McKinney and Louis R. Tipton (Linda); his grandchildren, Kelly Tipton Boredelon, Brian Tipton and Adam Tipton; and his nephews, John L. Tipton (Pattie) and Richard A. Tipton. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Tip's name to First Baptist Church of Edna or donor's choice.
