She was predeceased by: her parents, Ramiro L. Lopez and Palmira R. Lopez; her sister Iris Lopez; and her siblings-in-law, Brenda H. Lopez and Larry Trevino.

She is survived by: her husband Rene Chavez; and her siblings, Raul R. Lopez, Norma Lopez Loredo (Delfino), Sonia Lopez Pedraza (Marco) and DeeDee Lopez Boltie (Karl). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
