She is survived by: her children, Jesus Herrera, Brenda Herrera (Adrian), Jorge Herrera (Leticia), Maira Morado (Emilio) and Leonel Herrera (Miriam); and her siblings, Alicia Melendez, Luisa Melendez, Abel Melendez, Norma Melendez, Maria Melendez and Bernardina Melendez. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
