She was predeceased by: her husband Enrique Cortez; and her parents, Julian Navarro and Anastacia Monjaras. She is survived by: her children, Juan Manuel Cortez, Rosario Lopez, Samuel Cortez, Tomas Cortez and Elias Cortez; and her sisters, Esther Navarro, Sara Navarro and Flora Navarro. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
