He is survived by: his wife Elva Marroquin Saenz; his children, Maria Luisa (Randy DeLeon), Ruben Jr. (Andrea), Daniel (Princee) and Mayra Lannette (Fortunato Gutierrez); his grandchildren, Rafael Alejandro, Maddison Lynn, Mia Loren, Randy Raul, Miriam Lizzette, Darin Daniel, Marlee Layla, Fortunato Roel, Timothy George, Zoe Renee, Maylene Lannette and Francisco David; his great grandchild Marceline Luna; and his siblings, Samuel Eduardo Saenz, Maria Luisa Saenz, Carmen Pena (Armando) and Blanca Margarita Guzman (Luis). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home (322 E Kuhn St, Edinburg, TX 78541). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery (1701 E Richardson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78542).
