He was predeceased by: his wife Frances; his parents, Felipe Sosa and Elvira Sosa (Saldana); and his brother Pedro Sosa. He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Ruiz and Rosalinda "Rose" Martinez; his siblings, S. F., Luis Sosa, Estela, Ramiro Morales, Margarita S. Delgado and Mary Jane Luna; his grandchildren, Seliah Sosa (Nathan Perez), Michael Muñiz, Rosie Carillo (Mike Peña), Gabriel Martinez, Alyssa Martinez, Amanda Frances Martinez, Raul Sosa III, Raphael and Ricardo Sosa; and his great grandchildren, Brandon, Olivia, Aaron, Kimberly, Karen, Conner, Isabel, Gabriel Jr. and Elias V. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McCaleb Funeral Home (900 W 4th St, Weslaco, TX 78596). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
