With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Petra Trevino of Edinburg, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 25, 2025 at the age of 74. As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Petra may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her son Jose Alberto Trevino. She is survived by: her children, Ruben Trevino Jr., Maria Del Carmen Trevino, Pedro Luis Trevino, Victor Alfonso Trevino and Petra Isabel Guerra; and her siblings, Yolanda Galvan, Armandina Menchaca, Pedro Gomez and Aurora Lazcano. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - Edinburg (208 E Canton Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Park (1701 E Richardson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78542).
