It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Olivia Montemayor of Edinburg, Texas, who passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Luis Davila and Lydia Garza Lopez; her son Rodrigo Montemayor Jr.; her siblings, Jose Luis Davila Jr. and Olga Macias; the father of her children Rodrigo Montemayor; and her half-brothers, Rolando Davila, Dionicio Alcala and Alonzo Davila.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Jose Gonzalez, Eloy Gonzalez Jr., Ramiro Ramirez Jr., Randy Ramirez, Joshua Montemayor, David Torres Jr., Gabriel Gonzalez and Javian Molina. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous half-brothers and half-sisters.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - Edinburg (208 E Canton Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (208 E Canton Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (215 N 16th Ave, Edinburg, TX 78541). A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Park (1701 E Richardson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78542).
