She was predeceased by: her parents, Reyes Garza and Carmen Garza; and her siblings, Leonel Garza, Osiel Garza and Imelda Espino.
She is survived by: her husband Jose Miguel Rivas; her children, Jose Rolando Rivas (Irma), Maricela Dube, Fernando Rivas (Veronica), Armando Rivas, Hugo Gerardo Rivas, Israel Rivas, Magdalena Luna (Joe) and Juan Angel Rivas (Martha); and her siblings, Otoniel Garza, Pedro Garza and Ismael Garza. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - Edinburg (208 E Canton Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A prayer was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Roselawn Cemetery (1501 S Main St, McAllen, TX 78501).
