She was predeceased by: her parents, Vidal Sotelo and Maria Guadalupe Soto Villescas; and her son Michael Gerald Perkins. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Ann Perkins, Joseph David Perkins and David Gerald Perkins II (Rosie). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four siblings.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Legacy Chapels (4610 S Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A rosary was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (114 W Fay St, Edinburg, TX 78539). A burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Angels Cemetery.
