She was predeceased by : her granddaughter Lesley Castilla; and her parents, Dario Vazquez and Maria Vazquez. She is survived by : her husband Homero Castilla; her children, Homero Castilla (Anna), Emmanuel Castilla (Susy) and Abigail Osorio (Luis); and her grandchildren, Homero III, Christian Gael, Alicia, Andres, Stefany and Luis David Jr.. She is also survived by seven siblings; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Legacy Chapels (4610 S Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A prayer was held on Tuesday, June 4th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, June 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Angels Cemetery (112 Abram Rd, Mission, TX 78572).
