He was predeceased by: his parents, Severino Serna and Flora Bustamante. He is survived by: his children, Luis Serna Jr., Lee Roy Serna and Larry James Serna; his grandchildren, Kateline Serna, Destiny Serna, Daizy Serna, Bonnie Lee Serna, Luis A. Serna, Brianna Lee Serna and Leo Serna; and his siblings, Olga Balderas, Benito Serna, Alfredo Serna, Ofelia Serna, Belinito Serna, Severo Serna, Reynaldo Serna, Lupe Serna and Oralia Dekerd.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Legacy Chapels (4610 S Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A rosary was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hillcrest Memorial Park (1701 E Richardson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78541).
