It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juan Manuel Casas (Edinburg, Texas), who passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Heriberto Casas and Paula Garza Casas; his sister Hilda Casas Trevino; and his brothers-in-law, Miguel Ramirez and Domingo Trevino.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Casas; his children, Juan Manuel "J. M." Casas (Celina), Arcadio Eloy Casas (Barbara) and Valeria Marlene Casas-Melendez (Eduardo Javier "E. J."); his granddaughter Zoe Maree Casas; and his siblings, Alicia Ramirez, Ramiro Casas (Margarita), Heriberto Casas, Jr. and Rogelio "Roy" Casas (Dora Elva).
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home (322 E Kuhn St, Edinburg, TX 78541). A rosary was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (1302 E Champion St, Edinburg, TX 78539).
