He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicolas Ortiz and Emilia G. Ortiz. He is survived by: his wife Mary Saenz-Ortiz; his siblings-in-law, Fransico, Daniel (Magda), Joe (Janie), Macario, Jesus Saenz (Maria), Juanita Marroquin (Pedro) and Filomena; and his siblings, Ricardo Ortiz (Amanda) and Yolanda Alaniz. He is also survived by his family, friends, and co-workers.
