He was predeceased by: his parents, Aurelio Lara and Maria Dolores Lara; and his brother Aurelio "Leo" Lara. He is survived by: his sons, John and James Lara (Christina); his grandchildren, Serenity, Justin, Jessica, Jeremy, Judah, Joseph, Jeorgina and Bruno; and his brothers, George and Rolando Lara.

In lieu of flowers proceedings can be donated to the family during the services.
