He was predeceased by: his parents, Felipe Hernandez and Reyna Hernandez; and his brother Abelardo Hernandez. He is survived by: his wife Nicolasa Zarate; his children, Ana Hernandez (Orlando Covarrubias), Luz Hernandez, Felipe Hernandez (Trini) and Michelle Rosales (Alex); and his siblings, Minerva Hernandez, Maria Luisa Hernandez, Victorino Hernandez, Juan Hernandez and Santos Hernandez. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
