He was predeceased by: his parents, Delmar Fankhauser and Marcy Fankhauser; his sister Gwendolyn Fankhauser Marshall; and his son Joseph Henry Fankhauser. He is survived by: his wife Betty Lanier Fankhauser; his siblings, Jerry Kay Floyd, Delmar Jr. (Dora) and Thomas (Linda); his niece Amber Marshall; his nephew Christopher Marshall; and his stepgrandchildren, Alejandro Thomas Swinford and Sarah Lanier Livaudais.
