He was predeceased by: his parents, Margarito Rosales and Martina Rosales; and his siblings, Guillermo Rosales, Julio Rosales, Juan Rosales, Juanita Rosales, Ninfa Rosales and Elizabeth Rosales.
He is survived by: his wife Dora Adela Rosales; his children, Luis Gerardo Rosales (Melissa), Carlos Enrique Rosales (Denis), Lorena Marquez (Mauro), Miriam Escalon (Leonel), Ludivina and Yadira Rosales Hernandez; and his sisters, Noemi Rosales, Raquel Rosales and Lydia Aguirre. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
