He is survived by: his former wife Luz Solis; his children, Eleanor Inez Solis, Dr. Gerald Jay Solis, Jr. and Elaine Marie Solis; and his siblings, Carol Clark (Solis), Nora Traves, Rodney Solis, Diana Hester and Yvette Solis Benavides. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
