He was predeceased by: his parents, Faustino Herrera and Andrea Salas; and his siblings, John "Johnny" Herrera, Pablo "Prieto" Herrera, Lauro "Larry" Herrera, Maria Isabel "Chavela" Herrera, Amelia Alcazar, Raquel Muñoz and Guadalupe "Lupe" Mata.
He is survived by: his children, Jason Herrera (Rubi) and Melissa Ann Herrera; and his siblings, Frank "Chico" Herrera, Elva Zuniga and Herminia "Minnie" Herrera. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family.
