He was predeceased by: his parents, Petronilo Pineda and Carlota Pineda of Elsa; and his siblings, Dolores Villanueva, Damacio Trevino, Rutilo "Rudy" Pineda, Braulio Pineda, Andres Pineda, Herlinda Zepeda, David Pineda and Irma Trad.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Pineda of Edinburg; his children, Jorge Pineda (Lupita) of Denton, Sandra Medina (Omar) of Edinburg, Patricia Garcia (Robert) of Edinburg and Isaac Pineda (Denise) of Edinburg; and his siblings, Moises Pineda, Elvira Escobar, Israel Pineda, Ezequiel Pineda and Ruben Pineda. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
