With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elisa Gaytan of Edinburg, Texas, born in Van Horn, Texas, who passed away on November 7, 2024 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elisa Gaytan to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Francisco Gaytan; her parents, Dionicio Quintana and Celedonia Garcia; and her siblings, Juan Quintana, Celia Guerrero and Francisco Quintana.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Ehler (Darrell), Sylvia Elisa Gaytan, Francisco Javier Gaytan (Zita Minette) and Carmen Alicia Rodriguez (Eloy); her sister-in-law Lucinda Quintana; and her caregivers, Pati Ibarra, Erika Pozos and Veronica Ramirez. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home - Edinburg (208 E Canton Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539). A prayer was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church (705 E University Dr, Edinburg, TX 78539). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Valley Memorial Gardens (3605 N Taylor Rd, Mission, TX 78573).
