He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Jesus Cavazos and Belia Moreno Cavazos; his brother Pablo Cavazos; and his brother-in-law Ruben Reyna. He is survived by: his wife Delma Fernandez Cavazos; his children, Deorica Cavazos, Josiah Cavazos (Pilar), Israel Alberto "Guero" Tijerina and Alexander Cavazos; his sisters, Elodia Reyna, Diana Lerma (Arnulfo) and Maria Guadalupe Cavazos; his sister-in-law Rafaela Cavazos; his grandchildren, Destiny, Trysten, Melanie, Yadira, Darian and Natalia; and his pet Tulip. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home (322 E Kuhn St, Edinburg, TX 78541). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Catholic Church (215 North Couch Street, Hargill, Texas).
