It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Concepcion Herrera De La Cruz (Edinburg, Texas), who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reynaldo Herrera and Sofia De Leon Herrera; her husband Evaristo De La Cruz; and her siblings, Gumaro Herrera, Esequiel Herrera and Eudelia Vale.
She is survived by: her children, Gustavo De La (Anna), Sandra De Leon (Armando), Elizabeth Garza (Jim Shirk), Linda De La Cruz, Ricardo De La (Priscilla) and Noelia Rodriguez (Joe); and her siblings, Dora Moreno, Daniel Herrera, Sofia Castilla and Hermelinda Romeros. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great, great granddaughter as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home (322 E Kuhn St, Edinburg, TX 78541). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (1302 E Champion St, Edinburg, TX 78539). A burial will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Palm Valley Memorial Gardens (4607 N Sugar Rd, Pharr, TX 78577).
