He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernardo Salazar, Sr. and Celia Posas Salazar; his siblings, Estela Garza, Aurora Rodriguez, Casimiro Salazar and Ruben Salazar; and his siblings-in-law, Faustina Salazar, Marcos Garza and Benito Cano.
He is survived by: his wife Celia R. Salazar; his children, Bernardo "Buddy" Salazar, III (Rebecca), Juan Jose Salazar (Martha), Rene Salazar (Yvonne) and Roel Salazar; his siblings, Damiana "Nena" Cano and Jose Guadalupe "Lupe" Salazar (Irma); and his brother-in-law Onesimo Rodriguez. He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
