She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonel Garza and Esther Garza; her brother Leonel Garza Jr.; and her godson Valentin Gerardo Garza. She is survived by: her husband Oscar Cantu; her children, Cynthia Cantu Del Bosque, Crissy Cantu, Cassandra Cantu and Oscar Hilario Cantu; her siblings, Jose Valentin Garza, Elva Garza, Elvia Saenz and Arminda G. Escobedo; and her grandchildren, Antonio Del Bosque, Rolando Del Bosque, Aria Lynn Gomez, Zyana Alexis Cantu, Oscar Hilario Cantu Jr., Ocean Athena Dismukes and Yarely Natalia Cantu.
