It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amalia Martinez of Edinburg, Texas, who passed away on May 14, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Transito Anzualda and Julia Rodriguez Anzualda; her husband Esteban Martinez, Sr.; her siblings, Transito Anzualda, Lucy Solis, Lupita Zucha, Conrada Lopez and Anita Manetas; her granddaughter Lorena Perez; and her great grandchild AJ Briseno.

She is survived by: her children, Esteban Martinez, Jr. (Loela), Jos Luis Martinez (Enith), Letty Flores (Erasmo), Diana Martinez (Antonio Mendoza) and Sandra Jane Perez (Erik); and her sisters, Adalia Phinney and Alicia Cantu. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
