He was predeceased by: his parents, Sabas Martinez, Sr. and Eluteria Leal Martinez; his siblings, Gabino Martinez, Isidro Martinez, Trinidad Martinez, Alicia Martinez, Irma Martinez, Ramiro Martinez, Luciano Martinez and Natalio Martinez; and his sister-in-law Irene Martinez.
He is survived by: his wife Margot Montoya Martinez; his children, Rodney Javier Martinez (Arely Mendoza), Lora Lee Martinez (Tony Innouvong) and Christa Marie Martinez; his grandchildren, Emma Jade Martinez, Gianna Alice Martinez, Soledad Innouvong and Ethan Alvaro Martinez; his brother Sabas Martinez, Jr.; and his sister-in-law Manuela Martinez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and dozens of former foster children who he, along with his wife.
