He was predeceased by: his parents, John Franklin James, Sr. and Christine Reeves James; his sister Cheryl; his brother-in-law Forrest Norton; and his daughter Jennifer James.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Holmes James of Yantis, TX; his daughter Julieann Jackson (Craig) of Rockwall, TX; his brother Tim James (Carolyn) of Edgewood, TX; and his grandchildren, Sarah Jackson and Andrew Jackson.
