He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Lelia Vining Larpenter and Gilbert Joseph Larpenter; and his siblings, Alvin Larpenter, Emery Larpenter, Richard Larpenter, Gilbert Larpenter (Junior), Merle Faulk, Mary Ruth Drury and Jean Lavigne Prevost.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Matthews Larpenter; his siblings, James Larpenter (Jimmy), Eleanor Wurst and Sue Campbell; his children, Carole Larpenter (Randy Buckner) of Edgewood, Texas, Randy Larpenter (Brenda) of Edgewood, Texas, Beth Larpenter Shurbutt (Eddie) of Oxford, Alabama and Kevin Larpenter (Angela) of Tahoka, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Laura Newton (Mark), Bradley Larpenter (Valerie), Ryan Larpenter, Mary Anna Shurbutt, Rachel Shurbutt, Kyle Larpenter (Carrie), Kadi Stunz (Jakob) and Kara Fleenor (Luke).
