Billie Jean Hataway Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billie Jean Hataway in Edgewood, Texas, born in Snyder, Texas, who passed away on August 3, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert G. Warren and Hattie Lee (Henry); her husband Rufus M. "Buddy" Hataway; her child Thomas V. Hyde; and her siblings, Robert Warren, Mary Tye (Warren), Mattie Nixon (Warren), Hattie Cooper (Warren), Fannie Foster Havins (Warren), Annie Price (Warren) and Bradford Warren.

She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Sockwell (Tim), Gene Hyde (Karen), Brenda Jones (Jim) and Lou Ann Smith (Hyde); her grandchildren, Julie Valentine (Bryce), Eric Sockwell, Sarah Ray (Hyde), Rachel Zahn (Joey) and Grayson Smith; her great grandchildren, Allison Valentine, Ava Ray, Rede Boyd and Charlie Zahn; her stepchildren, Gary Hataway, David Hataway (Sonia), Debbie Warren (George) and Mike Hataway; and her sister Bobbie Powers. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, masks are required for visitation and strongly suggested for graveside.
