It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Scott (Eddy, Texas), who passed away on May 5, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Bernsen and Margaret Boeselt Bernsen; her husband James Billy Scott of Eddy; her brother Kenneth Bernsen; and her great grandchildren, Ella and Emory Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Gerry Scott (Sandy), Jackye Scott and Steve Scott; her sister-in-law Janice Bernsen; her grandchildren, Valerie Scott Smith (Shawn), Jamie Scott Lee (Dave) and Russell James Scott (Natalie); and her stepgranddaughter Jessi Rayhill. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and her niece and nephew.
The family is grateful that Eunicia Adam served as Joan's caregiver for more than four years during the progression of her Alzheimer's disease.
