He was predeceased by: his father Chester Berg; and his brother Alan Berg. He is survived by: his mother Bobbie Sue Berg (Richardson); his wife Jerry Lee Boycan Berg; his children, Evan Berg and Dr. Elyssa Berg; and his sister Patty Peck (Hershel). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association.
